Arranging your data alphabetically, from smallest to largest numerically, or using other criteria can help you find the information you’re looking for more quickly.
Select a cell in the column you want to sort and on the Data tab, in the Sort & Filter group, either select Sort A to Z for ascending order or Sort Z to A for descending order.
You can also click on Filter, which applies a drop down menu to each column heading, allowing you to select specific choices to narrow a table. Click anywhere in the table and select Filter.
Each of the column headings will now show a drop-down arrow, which you can use to sort each column. Clicking on the Net arrow (Column D) will allow you to sort by that column.
When you click on OK, the column is sorted. The arrow next to Net shows that the column has been sorted in descending order.
For a more complex sort, choose Custom Sort from the Home tab. You can add more levels to sort by more than one column.
This would be the result.
